Spring News Letter

 

I hope this newsletter finds everyone well rested after the Holiday Season!  It’s time to park the sleds and push your boggers into the shop!! The 2010 Race Season is just around the corner! The 2009 race season was an exciting one and hopefully 2010 will be just as fun, if not better! 

 

After our very exciting fall meeting, I’m sure that everyone is looking forward to our spring meeting. This year the meeting will be at the West Harvest Inn, 5620-44 Street, Lloydminster AB, on April 17, 2010, registration @ 9:30 A.M. and meeting starts @ 10:00 AM. Rooms can be reserved by calling 1-780-875-6113. Rooms will be $109 + Taxes /night and are reserved under CMRO until March 30, 2010. Please book early so you are not disappointed. And remember you get 10 points for attending the meeting!

HIGHLIGHTS FROM THE FALL MEETING!

 

               -REACTION TIME is now included with your time!!!  So make sure you get your eye and

                foot coordination up to par!!!  It’s going to be exciting to see the results of these races!!

-CMRO will be looking into having a fundraising raffle (i.e. raffle off a quad).

               -Pits will now be 160-200 feet if safe to do so, with shut down areas double the length of the pit

               -Chris Girardin has stepped down as treasurer after serving for 4 consecutive years.                

                Thanks Chris for all your hard work and dedication to the club!  Hope to see you at the               

                 races this year (because we may need your help!)

 

Our Rules committee has made some changes that I wanted everyone to be aware of:

STOCK CLASS:                    -Bolt-on’s permitted in a combination of 3 of the following: 

                                                      Exhaust headers, intake, carb, ignition system (coil, box & disputer), electric water pump. 

-No after-market cylinder heads permitted.

                                             -Vacuums will be discussed at the Spring Meeting.

 

PRO-MOD CLASS:             Up to 871 blowers at 1:1 driven ratio permitted


So keep this in mind while you’re tuning up or building your new rigs!

This year promises to be an exciting season, with new venues, new racers, and new vehicles!
